Conference Structure

The Conference includes:

Pre-conference Workshops on 30th May held in the Harbourview Hotel, Wan Chai, Hong Kong,

  • Enhanced Landfill Mining: Technologies, Products, and Costs (9:00 am to 12:330 pm)
  • Biochar for Sustainable Management of Urban Biomass Waste (2:00 pm to 5:30 pm)

Main Conference: From 31st to 2nd June in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), includes,

  • Keynote sessions
  • Parallel oral sessions
  • Poster presentation and viewing session

Technical Field Trips: On 3rd June field trips have been organized to showcase Hong Kong's waste treatment facilities: 

  • Y-PARK and T-PARK (8:30 am to 1:00 pm) 
  • Eco-PARK and O-PARK (8:30 am to 1:00 pm)

Awards

  1. Two 'International Young Waste Researcher Award' with a cash prize of HKD 5000, a trophy and a certificate of recognition will be awarded.
     
  2. Ten 'Best Poster Awards' with a cash prize of HKD 1000, a certificate of recognition will be awarded.

Coffee, Lunch and Conference Banquet Dinner

Coffee, tea, and light refreshment will be served at the venue during breaks to all speakers and paid and registered participants.

Lunches are NOT included; there are plenty of choices for restaurants and fast food shops near the conference venue.

The Conference Banquet dinner for all speakers and registered participants will be held on 1st June at Choi Fook Royal Banquet (iSquare), 26/F iSQUARE, 63 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
